The present research work entitled "OCCUPATIONAL STRESS AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THE STAFF OF THE SURGICAL CENTER STAFF OF THE HOSPITAL ALFREDO CALLO RODRÍGUEZ DE SICUANI - CUSCO 2021". Objective: To determine the relationship between occupational stress and work performance of the staff of the surgical center of the hospital Alfredo Callo Rodríguez de Sicuani - Cusco 2021. Methodology: Non-experimental design, cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational, the sample consisted of 47 health professionals who met the inclusion criteria. The technique used was the survey and the instrument was the questionnaire. Results: In the dimensions of occupational stress, 55% presented medium stress in the emotional exhaustion dimension, 44% mild stress in the depersonalization dimension, 51% mild stress in the self-fulfillment dimension, 51% presented mild stress and 9% high stress. In the work performance dimensions; 79% excellent work performance in the academic performance dimension, 74% excellent work performance in the labor dimension, 47% excellent work performance in the research performance dimension. in the work performance variable 81% excellent and 19% good. In the hypothesis test, the correlation obtained according to the statistical analysis of Spearman's Rho obtained an inverse relationship of -0.740, so it can be affirmed that the lower the occupational stress, the better the occupational performance, so the hypothesis is accepted.
