The objective of this research work is to determine the effect of biopolymers (Xanthan Gum, Agar and Gellan) on the geotechnical properties (cohesion, density and plasticity index) of silty soils with superficial foundation fines in the sector of APV Alto Qosqo in the district of San Sebastián. Cusco. The soil survey of the San Sebastián district began, taking a sample of it to later carry out the characterization of the soil through granulometry and consistency limits tests, for its respective SUCS classification. Additionally, the compaction test was carried out to Determine the optimal moisture content and maximum dry density. Once the characterization of the soil was obtained, an experimental design was carried out where eight treatments and a central point were obtained, the effect on the geotechnical properties of a silty soil was verified through laboratory tests, such as: Modified Proctor Test, Compression Unconfined and consistency limits, which were made under the parameters of the materials testing manual. The research proposes an analysis of the geotechnical properties of the soil in its natural state, natural soil +0.00% of Xanthan Goma, natural soil +0.00% of Agar Goma, natural soil +0.00% of Gellan Goma, natural soil +0.75% Xanthan Gum, natural soil +0.75% Agar Gum, natural soil +0.75% Gellan Goma, natural soil +1.50% Xanthan Goma, natural soil +1.50% Agar Gum, natural soil +1.50% Gellan Gum; which has a total of 27 laboratory tests and with which the effect on the geotechnical properties could be determined. According to the Unconfined Compression test, it was determined that Xanthan Gum and Gellan Gum have a significant effect on Cohesion, with the average value being 0.1616 kgf/cm2 and 0.1672 kgf/cm2, while the soil without additives is 0.0725 kgf. /cm2. On Density, Xanthan Gum, Agar Gum and Gellan Gum do not have a significant effect. According to the Limits (Liquid and Plastic) test, it was determined that Xanthan Gum has a significant effect on the Plasticity Index, with the average value being 19.92%, while the soil without additives is 3.06%.
