The general objective of this research was to determine to what extent family violence and its coping strategies are related to academic performance in Human Medicine students at the Andean University of Cusco, 2023. Where the methodology applied was quantitative in scope, scope multivariate correlational, non-experimental design, basic type. The population was made up of 120 students, the sample was 92 students. The survey and documentary analysis were used as a technique. The following was concluded: the level of family violence in the students is 100% mild, this result dates from what was observed in the four dimensions considered in the variable, where physical violence in 98.9% is located at the level mild; This same appreciation has been found in the psychological, sexual and economic dimensions (93.5%, 95.65%, and 92.4%, respectively). Coping strategies in students are used regularly, which reflects that 56.5% of students use coping strategies to solve a problem regularly. On the other hand, social, non-productive environment strategies are used in a limited or deficient manner. The level of academic performance in Human Medicine students is at the good level, at 67.4%, which implies that all students do manage to pass the academic semester, but not with excellence. Family violence is significantly related to the coping strategies used by students, but the association that exists between the variables is low, with a value of Tau – Kendall's b (0.283). Coping strategies are significantly related to academic performance in students; likewise, the correlation between the variables is moderate with a value of Kendall's Tau – b (0.674). Family violence is significantly related to academic performance in students, in the same way the link between the variables is low with a value of Tau – Kendall's b (0.339). Family violence and coping strategies are significantly related to academic performance in students; likewise, the correlation between the variables is moderate with a value of Tau – Kendall's b (0.439).
