The present study aimed to determine the relationship between emotional state, nutritional status and diet quality in teachers and students of the Andean University of Cusco, in times of Pandemic COVID-19 - 2022. The method used had a positivist and quantitative approach because it used techniques and theories that supported the causes and consequences of the object of study through the determination and comparison of the percentages of teachers and students who expressed their emotional and nutritional state and the quality of their diet. Regarding the scope, it was descriptive expository because it described the covariation between the variables without manipulation or control over them, the design was complex prospective when describing the consequences of the variables and their conditioning factors because it establishes multiple relationships between the variables. The study population was composed of 290 teachers and 547 students of the Andean University of Cusco of semester 2022-I, a non-probability sampling for convenience was carried out, with a total of 837 people. The technique used was the survey disseminated through the institutional mails of the university with the approval of the academic vice-rectorate and the instruments were the DASS 21 Questionnaire for the assessment of the emotional state, the healthy eating index questionnaire and as indicators of nutritional status the BMI and abdominal perimeter. As for the results, in relation to the emotional state, teachers present 6.2% of depression, 9% of anxiety and 4.1% of stress, all three extremely severe conditions. On the other hand, students manifest 18.6% depression, 33.8% anxiety and 6.9% stress, all extremely severe. For nutritional status, teachers are 40.3% overweight and 12.8% with obesity I, with 40.3% at high risk of suffering from chronic metabolic diseases. In the case of students, 66.2% are in normal condition. Regarding the quality of the diet, 55.9% of the teachers require changes in their diet and 44.1% have an inadequate diet, 84.5% of the students require changes in their diet and 15.4% have an inadequate diet. Chi-square values sig 0.000 were determined which, being less than 0.05, indicated that there is a high significant relationship between emotional state and sociodemographic characteristics, except for the relationship between marital status and students. From the present work it is concluded that in the Andean university of Cusco from the evaluation of teachers and students a sig value of 0.001(p˂0.05) was obtained for the relationship emotional, nutritional status and the quality of inadequate diet, resulting in a highly significant relationship between the variables, and a sig value = 0.244 (p˃0.05) indicating that there is no significant relationship between emotional, nutritional status and diet in need of changes.
