Introduction: Stress and anxiety are disorders that affect the general population. It is important to remember that the adolescent age group may be more affected due to physical, emotional and psychological changes. According to MINSA reports, 13% of children and adolescents experience symptoms of anxiety and stress, with the female sex being the most affected, which is why research is needed to determine which risk factors generate high levels of stress and anxiety. Objective: Determine the risk factors of stress and anxiety in adolescents aged 15-16 years from the educandas educational institution, Cusco, period July-December 2022. Materials and Methods: Correlational scope study, the design is non-experimental, according to the level It is descriptive-correlational, according to the period and sequence of the cross-sectional study, and according to temporality it is prospective. Results: 100% of students between 15 and 16 years old have state anxiety and trait anxiety (at various levels of anxiety), just as 100% of adolescent girls between 15 and 16 years old have stress (at various levels), for Anxiety, the female sex is a sociodemographic factor of state and trait anxiety, as is being a teenager, the type of extended and nuclear family are protective factors for suffering from both trait and state anxiety. The lifestyle factors that generated anxiety and stress were predominantly hours of sleep below 6 hours, overweight and obesity, and little physical activity that lead to high levels of stress and anxiety. Conclusions: Approximately more than 50% of students have high levels of stress, just as more than 50% of adolescents have high levels of stress. The sociodemographic and lifestyle factors are: sex, age, physical activity, hours of sleep. low, overweight and obesity.
