The primary objective was to evaluate the seismic risk levels of the APV Primavera and APV Los Pinos in the Santiago district, Cusco province, by segmenting them into independent study polygons. The risk assessment was conducted through an analysis of hazards and vulnerabilities. The hazard analysis considered aspects of the seismic phenomenon (magnitude, seismic intensity, and natural ground acceleration) as conditioning factors (relief, soil type, vegetation cover, and current land use) and triggering factors (hydrometeorological, geological, and humaninduced). The vulnerability analysis took into account the population, infrastructure (exposure), weaknesses or disadvantages of housing, building regulations, and construction materials (fragility), as well as the population's ability to assimilate or recover from the occurrence of a hazard (resilience). Parameters and descriptors that characterize natural phenomena, geographical susceptibility, and vulnerability factors were identified using the manual for risk assessment of natural phenomena published by the National Center for Disaster Risk Estimation, Prevention, and Reduction (CENEPRED). With the identified parameters and descriptors, numerical values (weighted scores) were assigned using the multicriteria decision method (Saaty's Scale), which combines the objective and rational aspects of science with the subjective and emotional aspects of human behavior.
