The present investigation work entitled “LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE ON PREVENTION OF ACUTE RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS OF MOTHERS WITH CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS OF AGE WHO COME TO THE CENTRO DE SALUD TECHO OBRERO, CANCHIS, cusca - 2018“ Objective: to determine the level of knowledge on prevention of Acute Respiratory lnfections of mothers with children under 5 years of age who attend the Techo Obrero Health Center, C.archis Cusca. The methodological design that was used was cross-sectional descriptive type, the population under study was constituted by 150 mothers attended in the Techo Obrero Health Center. The technique used was the interview and the survey instrument. Within the general characteristics, the following results were achieved: 31.4% are between the ages of 26 and 35, 44.3% have complete secondary education, 37.1 % are housewives, 45. 7% live together, 62.9% speak Spanish and Quechua, 45.7% have 3 to 4 children and 42.9% receive between 100 and 300 soles. Level of knowledge of mothers with children under 5 years of age. 48.60% of mothers know the definition of HAI, 58.6% of mothers are unaware of the transmission, 57.1 % know the predisposing factors, 45.7% are unaware of the complications, 48.6% are unaware of the signs and symptoms, 48.6% are unaware of the danger signs, 57.1% know about prevention measures, 75.7% know the advantages of breastfeeding far the child, 67.1 % know about the problems of health that prevents breastfeeding, 84.3% know the actions when there are sudden changes in temperature, 48.6% know about nutrition measures to prevent HAls, 50.0% know about Vitamins, as elements that help prevent the IRAS, 71.4% take it to the nearest Health Center, 52.9% if they know that smoke exposure worsens the evolution of the IRAS. 47.1 % of mothers with children under 5 years of age who attend the Techo Obrero Health Center have a regular level of knowledge about Acute Respiratory lnfection Prevention, 34.2% level of bad knowledge and 18.5% % is in the range of knowledge level Good.
