The present research study was conducted with the objective of determining the frequency of eruption, retention and agenesis of third molars in the Ceradent Cusco radiological center in patients aged 16 to 24 years of 2016, the population was 1152 patients and In the sample of 288 patients, each third molar of the digital panoramic radiograph was described, with a total of 4 for each patient and it was determined whether it presents rash, retention or agenesis, there is a subdivision of retention defined as primary and secondary retention, which were used to obtain a more solid and differential result in the study. The results obtained show that the highest frequency is secondary retention, reaching 36.7%, with piece 4.8 predominating, followed by eruption with 34.2%, pieces 1.8 - 2.8 predominating, agenesis obtaining 17.2%, piece 1.8 predominating and finally primary retention with a 11.9% predominating piece 3.8. According to age, 3 age groups were managed from 16 to 18 from 19 to 21 and from 22 to 24 years old. The rash occurred more frequently from 22 to 24 years in primary retention from 16 to 18 years, in secondary retention from 16 to 18 years and in agenesis from 22 to 24 years. According to sex, it was obtained that the female group presented a greater frequency in all cases. Based on the results we can indicate that in the study population it was obtained that the secondary retention is more frequent, the eruption of the third molar still occurs, while the agenesis did not obtain a very high percentage in comparison to the retention and the rash.
