Dental clearance is a treatment that throughout the history of dentistry was taking a leading role due to the improvement of facial aesthetics and harmonic expression of beauty. Today in the 21st century aesthetics has taken great emphasis on the population and it does not go unnoticed that dental clearance is a key piece to improve the appearance of the individual. At present there are different techniques and materials in the process of lightening the teeth, these materials that are made in many cases based on acids are used in dental treatment. Objective: The objective of this study was to demonstrate the efficacy of Ozone at 0.05 ppm for dental clearance using acetate cuvettes. Materials and method: 30 patients were selected by sampling non probalistic for convenience. A dental medical ozonator equipment AOT-MD500, a medical oxygen balloon of 2 L3 and acetate cuvettes was used; A sample of 60 upper and lower dental arches was established, which were divided into three groups of 20 dental arches; Group A was subjected to a 10 - minute gas ozone exposure. The color registration was taken before and after the procedure using Chromascop Ivoclar Vivadent colorimeter. Group B was subjected to a 20-minute gas ozone exposure with the same procedures as before; Group C was subjected to a 30minute gas ozone exposure, using the same procedures mentioned above. Results: It was observed that ozone has different effects subject to certain times; It is effective in the times of 30 minutes and 20 minutes decreasing the tone up to 4 and 5 tons of its original color, however in the times of 10 minutes it was effective, decreasing only 1 tone of its original color, therefore it could be demonstrated that ozone does have efficacy in dental clearance.
