This research was conducted in the company Embotelladora Cusco del Sol S.R.L, dedicated to the production of bottled table water in the city of Cusco, the company produces bottled table water in eight different presentations. The general objective of this research is to determine the effect of the application of the 5s on the productivity of the company Embotelladora Cusco del Sol S.R.L, the specific objectives are: Determine the effect of the application of the 5S on the resources used of the company Embotelladora Cusco del Sol S.R.L, in the year 2021 and Determine the effect of the application of the 5S on the units produced of the company Embotelladora Cusco del Sol S.R.L, in the year 2021. Regarding the methodology, the research is of the applied type, being at the explanatory level, with a quantitative approach and using a hypothetical deductive method, all this because it seeks to generate a solution to the problems of the company turlough the application of the 5S tool, explaining in detail the application process and using finite and measurable data. For the population, the company's workers were taken into account, 18 in total, but we worked only with the workers in the production area (sample), 6, and each presentation of bottled water was also taken into account. The data for the months of May, June and July 2021 were taken as a reference, taking into account the following figures: for the 350 ml presentation, an average of 35 units were produced, requiring S/. 33.9 soles; for the 500 ml presentation, an average of 1210 units were produced, requiring S/. 919.27 soles; for the 700 ml presentation, an average of 18635 units were produced, requiring S/. 14302. 53 soles, for the 1L presentation an average of 0 units was produced, requiring S/. 0 soles, for the 2L presentation an average of 0 units was produced, requiring S/. 0 soles, for the 7L presentation an average of 52 units was produced, requiring S/. 164.87 soles, for the 20L presentation an average of 1260 units was produced, requiring S/. 8294.33 soles and for the 22L presentation an average of 2773 units was produced, requiring S/. 31425.7 soles. Subsequently, each phase of the 5S tool was applied using observation guides, support tools, formats, records, direct observation and monitoring, and check lists. After the application of the 5S tool, favorable data were obtained with respect to productivity, since an increase in productivity of 118% was determined for the 350 ml presentation, an increase of 19.07% for the 500 ml presentation, and an increase of 13.45% for the 700 ml presentation. 45% for the 700 ml presentation, 100% productivity was obtained for the 1L and 2L presentations, due to the fact that these presentations were not produced in the months prior to the application, an increase of 25.48% for the 7L presentation, an increase of 10.93% for the 20L presentation and an increase in productivity of 8.50% for the 22L presentation.
