The present investigation was focused on describing the behavior of the downlink signal at a frequency of 700 MHz by varying the RET downtilt angle through simulation in a cellular station in the district of Florencia de Mora, province of Trujillo, Peru. For this, 40 user reception reference points distributed in the 03 sectors of the base station were taken. The assignment of the service sector was made due to the highest signal level coming from the 03 coverage sectors. The signal levels were classified according to their intensity, identifying the trend of signal increase associated with the increase in RET downtilt. The results favored sector 02, with 83% of points in high signal range and 100% favorable variability, followed by sector 03 with 86% high range and 80% favorable variability, finally sector 01 with 56% range. high and 50% favorable variability. The evaluation of the signal levels and geography of the coverage area made it possible to recommend ranges of RET downtilt values that favor the different sectors.
