This research is descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional; Its objective was to determine the relationship between the feeding practices of mothers of children under 6 months 2 years of age and iron deficiency anemia in a Health Center in Trujillo. The sample was made up of 80 parents who attended the Health Center with their children regularly during the year 2024. A survey called ""Questionnaire on food practices and iron deficiency anemia"" was used as an instrument to collect data, where the results showed that 65% had good eating practices and 35%, bad practices; likewise, 62.5% of the infants did not present anemia and 37.5% did. Finally, when applying the Chi-square statistical test, a positive and significant correlation was obtained, with a value of p = 0.000, rejecting the null hypothesis and confirming that there is a relationship between the variables, mothers' eating practices and iron deficiency anemia; which indicates that when the mothers present an adequate feeding practice for their children, it is associated with them not having anemia and vice versa.
