Objective: to find the prevalence of Burnout syndrome in nursing staff in the emergency area of a public hospital in Lima-Peru-2023. Materials and Methods: this research has a quantitative approach, since it is an objective, sequential and structured process obtaining data that will be analyzed and interpreted; descriptive in scope because it will seek to specify the dimensions of Burnout syndrome in the group studied; The research design is non-experimental, cross-sectional since the data will be collected at a specific time, with a population consisting of 60 nursing graduates who are currently working at the Jorge Voto Bernales Corpancho-ESSALU, Hospital, Lima, a technique will be used non-probabilistic convenience sampling. Burnout Syndrome was taken as the main variable. The survey will be used, and as an instrument a questionnaire will be applied, which will be the Maslach Burnout Inventory version (MBI-HSS), which consists of 22 items that will measure the attitude of nursing professionals in their work environment. Results: once data collection is complete, they will be manually entered into the SPSS 26.0 statistical software, which will allow statistical analysis to be carried out. The results will then be presented in tables and graphs using Microsoft Excel for easy interpretation Conclusions: the conclusions can be viewed based on the proposed objectives and their achievement based on the results obtained.
