"The present research work proposes the search for a mathematical model that allows obtaining the piezoelectric parameters of a Lead Zirconate Titanate type ceramic based on the Butterwort and Van Dyke model with the purpose of maximizing energy transfer and optimizing its design. The developed methodology includes: the documentary compilation and investigation of the different mathematical modeling and characterization techniques of piezoelectric ceramics tpe Lead Zirconate Titanate or PZT. The Butterworth Van-Dyke model is chosen, thanks to the simplicity of adjustment to a resonance it generates and the behavior analogous to an RLC circuit. This method allows us to calculate the inductance, capacitance and resistance values of a PZT in such a way that allows us to define its resonance zone. For the development of the technique based on the Butterworth Van Dyke model, manual measurements were made, the voltage and current values of the PZT were recorded in order to find their impedance. Likewise, an electronic circuit based on a DSPIC and an instrumentation amplifier was implemented. Using the least squares technique, the phase shift and amplitude measurement algorithm was implemented in one of the DSPIC cores. With the phase shift generated by the impedance of the PZT when sweeping different frequencies and calculating the different amplitudes, the Butterworth and Van Dycke parameters of the equivalent circuit and the resonance frequency were obtained. For the implementation of the algorithm embedded in a DSPIC, MPLAB was used and LabVIEW was used for the visualization of the parameters and communication with the PC. The results shown in comparative graphs between the values that were obtained manually with the measurements, through the implementation of the electronic circuit and with the manufacturer's data sheets show that the Butterworth and Van Dycke model has an error of less than 5% for frequencies resonance less than 5 kHz
