The main purpose of this research was to analyze the influence of environmental perception on the economic valuation of lead air pollution in the "Virgen de Guadalupe" community. This is crucial in providing information for the design of air pollution mitigation strategies, which, in turn, could contribute to the formulation of effective policies in environmental management and public health. A survey was conducted on 182 residents, exploring aspects related to air quality, temporal exposure to pollution, beauty and aesthetic appreciation of the environment, as well as willingness to accept (WTA) and willingness to pay (WTP). The results highlighted that 62.09% of respondents were willing to receive economic compensation, while 56.04% showed a willingness to pay in order to mitigate lead pollution. It was also determined that the average monthly WTP is S/. 62.48, equivalent to S/. 1,201,865.28 per inhabitant per year, whereas the average monthly WTA per inhabitant is S/. 153.59, equivalent to a total of S/. 2,954,457.24 per inhabitant per year for lead air pollution. Therefore, it was concluded that environmental perception influences the economic valuation of lead air pollution in the "AA.HH. Virgen de Guadalupe"
