In the field of telecommunications, there is an underutilization of digital tools and inefficient collaborative management. However, the VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) methodology emerges as an effective solution to overcome these limitations. From the design phase, VDC enables precise and detailed planning, facilitating collaboration across teams and disciplines. By creating virtual models of the project, potential incompatibilities can be identified and resolved before they become real problems in execution, saving time and resources. To address this solution, the development of flowcharts that represent both the traditional process and the application of VDC is proposed in order to make a process comparison. In this comparison and analysis of these flowcharts, opportunities for improvement were detected in: optimization of activities, interdisciplinary evaluations, interferences found and analysis of unit prices. The results obtained in this research support the effectiveness of the use of tools based on the VDC methodology, such as ICE sessions, collaborative BIM models, project management and KPI indicators. These tools facilitate interaction and communication among team members, allow for more effective strategic planning, and increase efficiency and productivity. This leads to a decrease in terms and, especially, in the costs related to the project.
