This study addresses the main challenges affecting the company Aguitel S.A.C. Grupo Inmobiliario Avanti, whose activity is focused on Engineering and Construction. The present work aimed to implement an Occupational Safety and Health System (OSH) in the company in Trujillo during the year 2023, in order to reduce the high rates of occupational accidents, The implementation of the improvement begins with the identification of the current problem, which is manifested in the high rates of occupational accidents in the company in recent years, increasing from 4.26 in 2018 to 6.56 in 2022. Subsequently, a criticality matrix was used to select the most appropriate methodology to address this problem, choosing the ISO 45001 methodology based on Law No. 29783. Initially, a diagnosis of the current situation was carried out to identify occupational risks and determine their economic impact on the company. The study is framed within a research of an explanatory and applied nature, using an experimental design and adopting a quantitative approach. Based on the diagnosis, safety and health policies were established, and an Occupational Safety and Health Committee (CSST) was formed to oversee regulatory compliance. Trained emergency brigades, internal audit schedules, checklists to identify risks, and a risk map to identify hazardous areas were implemented. An annual SGSST plan was prepared with actions, objectives and goals to mitigate the risks identified. As a result, there was a 65% reduction in occupational risks, which benefits the company by maintaining accident-free statistics. In conclusion, the OSHMS implemented allowed the company to identify hazards, evaluate risks, implement controls, and maintain documented information, demonstrating good performance in reducing accident rates.
