The music video is the most consumed format on the internet, especially by young people. And although it has contributed in reproducing gender stereotypes for commercial purposes for a long time, nowadays, the same consumption model tries to promote a female gaze. This research seeks to analyze users' perceptions of the extent to which they identify and accept a female gaze regarding the case of pop artist Marina Diamandis. The study was qualitative in nature, and a focus group model was used to collect viewpoints on three music videos by the singer. The results indicate that, in terms of Marina's performance, they find an empowering gaze associated with a traditionally feminine characterization in contrast to the mainstream that tries to sell feminism through normative sexualization and masculinization of female artists. As part of the conclusions, it is noted that Marina's perspective is empowering for female viewers since it relates attributes of security or independence to femininity in an industry that promotes them as exclusively masculine.
