Dependencia emocional y violencia de pareja en estudiantes de la carrera de Psicología de una universidad privada de Lima - 2021

Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación existente entre la dependencia emocional y la violencia de pareja en estudiantes de la carrera de psicología de una Universidad Privada de Lima-2021. Con un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básico, de diseño no experimental, de tipo transversal, con un nivel de alcance descriptivo correlacional, la muestra constó de 184 estudiantes cuyas edades oscilan entre 18 y 25 años. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron el Inventario de dependencia emocional (IDE), por Jesús Joel Aiquipa Tello y la Escala de Violencia en la Relación de Pareja en Jóvenes (E.V.R.P –J.), por Cesia Bejarano Cajachagua. Entre los resultados obtenidos se evidenció una correlación positiva moderada entre las variables de dependencia emocional y violencia de pareja (r = 0,64 p). También se encontró una correlación positiva moderada entre violencia de pareja y las dimensiones de dependencia emocional, en donde la dimensión prioridad a la pareja (r = 0,65), seguido por miedo a la ruptura (r = 0,61) y subordinación y sumisión (r = 0,52). Por lo tanto, se determinó la relación entre dependencia emocional y violencia de pareja en estudiantes de la carrera de psicología de una Universidad Privada de Lima y se estableció la relación de las dimensiones estudiadas.

The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between emotional dependence and intimate partner violence in psychology students at a Private University in Lima-2021. With a quantitative approach, basic type, non-experimental design, transversal type, with a level of correlational descriptive scope, the sample consisted of 184 students whose ages range between 18 and 25 years. The instruments used were the Emotional Dependency Inventory (IDE), by Jesús Joel Aiquipa Tello, and the Violence in Couple Relationship Scale in Young People (E.V.R.P –J.), by Cesia Bejarano Cajachagua. Among the results obtained, a moderate positive correlation was evident between the variables of emotional dependence and intimate partner violence (r = 0.64 p). A moderate positive correlation was also found between partner violence and the dimensions of emotional dependence, where the dimension priority to the partner (r = 0.65), followed by fear of breakup (r = 0.61) and subordination and submission (r = 0.52). Therefore, the relationship between emotional dependence and intimate partner violence in psychology students at a Private University in Lima was determined and the relationship of the dimensions studied was established.
