The objective of the professional work presented is the hydraulic design and execution of the drip irrigation system in Cucurbitaceae crops in the district of Quilmaná, province of Cañete, region of Lima. The area of the field leased for the execution of the project is 31.1 Has, according to the climatic data provided by the company's Davis meteorological station, a critical evapotranspiration of 5 mm/day was recorded in the month of January. The system was designed with 7 irrigation shifts, with daily frequency and two lateral lines for each plant row. The area of influence is fed by a 1.9 km adduction network with 200 mm and 160 mm diameter PVC pipe, this network discharges its waters into a 5429.4 m3 reservoir lined with 1mm thick HDPE geomembrane, connecting to 2 mobile filter heads of 8” and 6” for the agricultural network and services respectively. These mentioned networks were simulated and sized using Watercad software, considering a speed from 0.5 m/s and no greater than 2.5 m/s. The primary and secondary networks consist of 200 mm, 160 mm, 140 mm, 110 mm and 90 mm pipes with actuation of 57 double chamber hydraulic valves for the agricultural hydraulic network and 160 mm, 110 mm, 90 mm, 75 mm and 63 mm with 57 manual valves for the hydraulic service network, while the tertiary or lateral networks are class 5 PVC pipes with diameters of 75 mm and 63 mm for the agricultural network and 75 mm, 63 mm and 48 mm for the service network . The parallel pumping station was designed for the agricultural network considering an ADT of 39.12 m.c.a. and a flow rate of 36 l/s with a motor power of 25HP. The investment cost for the design and execution of the drip irrigation system, considering the items of reservoir, adduction network, moving heads, electrification and agricultural hydraulic networks and services was S/ 1,971,179.59.
