Introduction: Lipid profile tests are of great importance in screening and diagnosis, due to the lifestyle of the population, the prevalence of diseases that cause death increases. For this reason, it is essential to make improvements in the different phases of the clinical laboratory, thus reducing the error percentage to a minimum. Objective: Describe the technical considerations for the lipid profile test in the biochemistry laboratory in a primary care health center, Lima 2023 – 2024. Job Description: The purpose of this work is to reduce errors in the different phases and ensure reliable results for patient care. Where semi-automated equipment has been used for analysis, with End Point, Fixed Time and Kinetic methodologies. Results: Our main findings obtained during the year 2023 - 2024 were reflected in the different phases that were executed with the implementation of continuous improvements in (flow charts, records of internal controls, calibrators and record of equipment maintenance) the clinical laboratory of the area of Biochemistry of a first-level health center DIRIS Lima – Este. Conclusions: The implementation of a standardized and rigorous work scheme in the lipid profile is essential to achieve reliable results. This is why it requires a comprehensive approach that covers the 3 laboratory phases, along with the traceability of the process, which will allow us to optimize the quality of the test and contribute to the well-being of the population.
