The research aimed to determine the relationship between resilience and coping strategies in adolescents from Santa Clara de Nanay small village. In a sample of 115 adolescents, 69.3% were female, the average age was 14 years, and 80% did not finish high school. Resilience had assessed by the Resilience Scale (RS) created by Wagnild and Young (1993) while coping strategies had evaluated by the Coping Scales for adolescents (ACS) by Frydenberg and Lewis (2000). As a result, we found a positive relationship between resilience and coping strategies such as Social action, Focusing on the positive, and Concentrating on solving the problem, with a moderately related. On the other hand, Seeking belonging, Seeking social support, and Seeking spiritual support had weakly related. On the other hand, it was not significantly associated with the No Coping and Stress Reduction strategies. Therefore, we concluded that adolescents who have a higher degree of resilience have a greater tendency to use coping strategies focused on seeking social support and a predisposition to solve the problem, leaving aside avoidance-type strategies.
