The oil activity is the most important for the economy of the Loreto region, the same one that uses a series of machinery and equipment that they are not produced internally, having to import them. The objective of this thesis is to determine the relationship between the importation of capital goods and the oil production of the Loreto region, in the period 2014 - 2018. For this, this quantitative research was carried out, correlational level and Non-Experimental design. The research concludes that there is no relationship between the import of capital goods and the production of crude oil, because a Correlation Coefficient of r = -0.424084897 was obtained, a result that is very far from -0.75 that could demonstrate an inverse relationship. Similarly, the Determination Coefficient was R2 = 0.179848000; very far from 1; This shows that there is no correlation or determination between the import of capital goods and the production of crude oil in the Loreto region. In the five-year period covered by the investigation, it has been demonstrated that the import of capital goods was mainly explained by the acquisition of Goods for Industry, an item that amounted to US $ 90.60 million, equivalent to 69.80% of the total value. The trend of the importation of Capital Goods was variable, and the batch with the highest production was Block 192, producing 12,652,000 barrels (45.49% of the total).
