The research, entitled "Biopsychosocial factors and violent behavior in nursing students of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon Iquitos 2019", had as a general objective, to determine the relationship between biopsychosocial factors (age, self-esteem, harmful habit, economic condition and level of studies) and violent behavior in nursing students of the UNAP, year 2019. Type of quantitative, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional design. Objective population, 302 students and the sample 286, nonprobabilistic sampling, significance level of α ≤ 0.05 and statistics: x2, linear association by linear and likelihood ratio for the hypothesis test. The following instruments were used to collect data: bio-social factors questionnaire, Rosemberg self-esteem scale, AUDIT questionnaire (alcohol consumption) and violence meter. Main findings were: There is no relationship between the biological factors age (p <. 239 α <0.05), psychological self-esteem (p <, 448 α <0.05) and violent behavior in nursing students of the UNAP. There is a relationship between social factors, harmful habit, alcohol consumption (p <.005 α <0.05), economic condition (p <.050 α ≤ 0.05), educational level (p <.007 α <0.05) and violent behavior in nursing students. In conclusion, the research hypothesis is accepted: There is a relationship between social factors and violent behavior in nursing students at UNAP 2019.
