The present research study was carried out with the objective of determining the correlation between health status and the nursing record of patients post operated immediate abdominal surgery at Loreto Regional Hospital anesthetic post recovery unit. 2014. The method used was the quantitative and non-experimental type retrospective, descriptive and correlational design. The sample was composed of 72 clinical histories of patients operated post. The technique used was the documentary review of the medical records of the HRL. The instruments were: the checklist which I had a 5 items questionnaire, to characterize the sample; the blade's assessment that identified the State of health of the patient operated post and nursing record sheet. It was not necessary to validity and reliability of the instruments because they worked with clinical histories which is a legal document and does not change in time. Data were processed through the SPSS, version 21.0. To determine the Association statistics the Chi-square (X2c) nonparametric test was used and the relevant results are as follows: the 74.4% of the patients had good state of health; the 41.0% of the nurses applied the nursing record. To associate health and nursing record was found that you there is association between the State of Health and nursing X 2 = 0.895 record and a p = 0.344. The results of this research will constitute a contribution to the scientific society given that there will be a database important actual and updated for future research and applications studies that favour to improve the quality of care.
