Determine the level of academic stress in students of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon, year 2015. A prospective, descriptive and cross-sectional study, in which the prevalence of academic stress was determined and your association with socio-demographic factors in 188 students. Statistical analysis of the association was measured with the Chi2 calculation, and the estimation of the risk or prevalence by the calculation of percentage ratio. A prevalence of academic stress was found in 100% of the students. In the statistical trend with p < 0.05 a significant association was found between the conditions of: ease of geographical access to the campus; to have children and civil status (3,2; 3,2 y 3,1, respectively) with academic stress medium significant association between the conditions: work, career satisfaction, place of origin, level of education, age, and sex with academic stress and the least significant association found in our study was between: family financial support and age with academic stress (1.9 and 2.1 respectively) The study demonstrated the prevalence of academic stress in a sample of 188 students, using the questionnaire of evolution of academic stress (CEEA) of Pablo et al, Academic Stress for University Students. Medical Education 2012 in which it determined the significant association between the conditions of geographical access to the campus, Tendency of children and marital status with academic stress.
