The objective of this thesis project is to determine the influence of a computer system with a mobile application on the level of knowledge of medicinal plants in the Huitoto community of Barrio Florido 2018. With this thesis project we tried to answer the following hypothesis: The implementation of a computer system with a mobile application will positively influence the level of knowledge about medicinal plants in the Barrio Florido community - 2018; the methodology for the development of the application was Extreme Programming (XP) and it was technological because it sought to solve a practical problem by implementing a mobile computing system; with application level because it seeks to measure the level of knowledge of medicinal plants of the Huitoto community of Barrio Florido 2018. This research work had a systemic approach with Pre-Experimental design, so, to answer the hypothesis, we took a sample of the population, to which we apply knowledge-type surveys in order to collect and know their knowledge about medicinal plants. For the analysis and interpretation of the information, it was complemented by the use of the T-Student statistical test, which is used when the population studied has a normal distribution but the sample size is too small.
