The objective was to determine the main factors that determine the informality of micro, small and medium enterprises in the clothing trade of the Bethlehem District of the city of Iquitos. The method used was quantitative and nonexperimental design for convenience. The population of the present study was made up of 200 MIPYMES of the District of Belén, Province of Maynas, during the year 2015, and the sample was 30 entrepreneurs. The method used was the quantitative, non-experimental descriptive design. The technique was the interview, and the instrument was the questionnaire. The data were analyzed with SPSS version 22.0. Descriptive statistical tests were used for frequencies and percentages. Results: When performing the statistical analysis, the following results were obtained: 76.92% MSMEs are informal. Conclusions: The factors that determine the informality of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of the Clothing Trade Sector of the 1st block of the 9th of December street corner with Prospero of the District of Belén, Province of Maynas, during the year 2015, are the ignorance of the benefits and law of formalization of a company, high costs, lack of State support, responsibility of SUNAT, percentage of IGV fair to pay and finally the bureaucratic barriers that exist for the formalization of a company.
