The present professional work arises from the need to meet and evaluate the study of the characteristic flora of the upper basin of the river Morona, in Peruvian territory, as a way of contributing to the knowledge of natural resources possible handling and use in a sustainable manner as well as their presence at the time, in search of the conservation of biodiversity for the benefit of the environment and the life of the communities in the area and of the region. Botanical inventory was conducted in thirteen sampling units, 0.3 ha each, surrounding human communities, and in different forms fisiograficas of the forest: Middle terrace with imperfect drainage, (Tm-di), terrace with moderate drainage, (Tm-dm), terrace half with poor drainage, high (Tm-dp), moderately dissected, (Ta-md), high terrace slightly dissected, (Ta-ld) and low terrace with poor drainage, (Tb-dp); you are grouped in eight forms of vegetative life individuals: tree, shrub, enrredadera, epiphyte, hemiepiphyte, herbaceous, liana and Palm and three-tiered taxonomy: family, genus, and species. In the area of work this floristic diversity more represented by the vegetation type tree, being families more important FABACEAE, mainly with the genus Inga. Bush, EUPHORBIACEAE, with genera: Pausandra, Acalypha, Alchornea, Aparisthmium, Nealchornia and Senefeldera. In Enrredadera, CUCURBITACEAE, with genera: Cayaponia, Fellivea and Gurania. In epiphyte, ORCHIDIACEAE, with the genera: Acacallis, Braemia, Catopsis, Encyclia, Epidendron, Maxillaria, Notylia, Oncidium and Stelis. In Brazil, ARACEAE, with genera: Anthurium, Heteropsis, Monstera and Philodendron. In herbaceous, ARACEAE, with genera: Anthurium, Dieffenbachia, Monstera, Spathiphyllum, Stenospermation and Urospatha. Liana, FABACEAE, with genera: Bauhinia, Clitoria, Dalbergia, Deguelia, Dioclea, Machaerium, Mimosa and Senna. In Palm tree, ARECACEAE, with genera: Geonoma and Bactris. Floristic diversity of the area is distinguished by its great heterogeneity of species: trees, shrubs, enrredaderas, epiphytes, hemiepiphytes, herbal, lianas and palms, grouped in a variety of families, genera and species of flora.
