This test was carried out with the aim of determining the optimal variety and density, to increase photosynthetic efficiency and carbon capture in the Vigna unguiculata- Caupí crop in 2019. The study method was scientific and experimental, having nine study treatments that were analyzed in a three-by-three factorial, included in a randomized complete block design. The photosynthetic efficiency the highest value is reported by the castilla variety with 0.53% and for the density factor, this same variety with 187 000 plants/ha; both factors have significant statistical differences. The interaction of the cassaf variety planted in density of 187 500 plants/ha obtained 0.64%, but without significant statistical difference. In carbon capture high statistical difference was found, for the source of variation variety and density; the castile obtained 1.18 tm/ha, instead for the density this same variety planted at 187 500 plants / has obtained. For the plant height character, no significant statistical difference was found between the averages studied. In long sheath, the variety San Roque obtained the highest value of 19.74 cm and the interaction of the variety san roque planted at 150 000 plants / ha, obtained the highest value of 20.68 cm, both factors have significant statistical difference. For the width of pods was obtained the variety san roque with 0.99 cm, the same which was statistically significant with respects with other varieties. In weight of 100 grains, no significant statistical difference was found between the averages studied. For the character number of pod sheath grains was found high significant statistical difference for variety having that the san roque obtained the highest value 17.55 and, for the interaction variety san roque planted to 125 000 plants / has obtained 17.97 grains per pod.
