The main objective of the present study was to determine maternal and obstetric factors related to immediate postpartum hemorrhage at the Regional Hospital of Loreto from 2015 to 2017. This study is of a non-experimental, analytical, control and retrospective type. The sample is constituted by all the pregnant women that presented immediate Postpartum Hemorrhage (cases) that add a total of 71 cases during the period of study; from January to December the years 2015 to 2017. The collection technique was documentary analysis, with its instrument observation sheet, validated and reliable. The results show only rural or marginal origin (OR: 3.35; IC: 1.45 - 7.72), hypertensive disease of pregnancy (OR: 3.97; IC: 1.74 - 9.04), inadequate prenatal control (OR: 2.44; IC: 1.23 - 4.82) and a history of urinary tract infection (OR: 3.31; IC: 1.68 - 6.53) are risk factors; while gestational diabetes, single marital status, preterm birth and obesity are intervening factors. In addition, according to the ANOVA, the null hypothesis can be rejected.
