This work was developed in the Department of Loreto, in Iquitos city, Maynas province, the town center Padre Cocha - Rio Nanay, Assess the knowledge of the inhabitants of the town of cocha parent center on local environmental issues. According to most respondents consider the environment as everything around us with a total of 55.6% of all persons, followed by 11.3% represented by the population considers the environment to animals and plants inhabit the earth, however a representative percentage of the population with 33.1%, has no knowledge of terms referring to the environment. The actions that seriously affect the environment depends on the system you have, thus having 55.0% the percentage of the population surveyed believes that oil extraction is one of the activities that generate impacts on the environment, followed by industry with 40.6%. Environmental responsibility, the highest percentage believes that a true environmental responsibility in the region does not apply, with 83.8%; followed by those who say that if with 16.3%; this evidence that most people consider that the region should become more aware that our actions should not generate significant the environment around us damage. Environmental attitude of the local inhabitants, 88.1% believe that the economic benefits are not important if to achieve them should be exploited insufficient resources that nature has today. The participation of local people in solving the current problems 95.0% expressed their willingness to engage in personal actions to reduce pollution, but the immediate results were not significant. In addition, 93.8% say they would like to take a more active role in solving problems resulting from environmental pollution and thus improve their quality of life.
