In the present study, the soil quality of a natural medium terrace forest was determined according to the functional activities of the edaphic macrofauna in Puerto Almendra. To obtain the samples, five (05) points have been georeferenced in the area for each point, five (05) samples of monoliths of 25 cm x 25 cm x 30 cm deep have been obtained, having a total of 25 monoliths of Litter, 00 cm. at 10 cm; 10 cm. at 20 cm and 20 cm. at 30 cm. depth, following the methodology proposed by the "International Tropical Soil Biology and Fertility Program" (TSBF), the soil quality index has been evaluated between the so-called detritivore and non-detritivore functional groups => 1 High quality or <1 Low quality. The results obtained in macroinvertebrates were identified 16 taxonomic groups, 4 functional groups: 7 Detritivores, 1 Omnivores, 3 herbivores, 5 predators. The largest population has been found in the litter with an average of 297 individuals, followed by the 00-10 cm monolith with 198 individuals, 10-20 with 85 individuals and 20-30 cm with 131 individuals. The soil quality indices by functional group and macroinvertebrate taxonomic group of the average terrace soil was 2.19, equivalent to> 1 High quality. To those who are dedicated to producing the soil and knowing its quality, use the calculation methodology used in this research, identifying the taxonomic group and the functional group.
