The purpose of this research work was to determine the extent to which the social climate of the school is related to the level of social skills of high school students in a state educational institution in Nueva Cajamarca. Therefore, a quantitative approach was used, with a descriptive - relational type of research, of a non - experimental type design with a transversal cut. The sample was formed by 351 high school students from educational institutions under study in 2018, where two questionnaires were applied to collect the information. In this way it was obtained as results that 66% of the respondents (equivalent to 81 of 122 students) indicate a low level of social school climate. Likewise, 70% of respondents (equivalent to 88 of 122 students) indicate a low level of social skills of high school students. The present research study concludes that: there is a significant relationship between the school social climate variables and social skills levels in high school students in a state educational institution of Nueva Cajamarca, given the correlation coefficient ("value") r ") of 0.586 with a value of significance (" p "value) of 0.00 less than the margin of error of 0.05, so a considerable positive relationship is evidenced, in other words, the higher the level of social school climate, The level of social skills will be higher in high school students of the educational institution under study.
