The objective of this research work is to determine the relationship between socioeconomic factors and the dropout of students from the professional family of electricity and electronics of CETPRO Almirante Miguel Grau in 2019. The research was carried out with a quantitative approach, of a type basic, correlational level, with a non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 59 dropout students and the sample was non-probabilistic census. For the study of the variables socioeconomic factors and the dropout of the students, the survey was used as a data collection technique, in addition, two questionnaires were used, one for each variable and the instruments were previously validated, with optimal levels of reliability. The results of the research show that there is a significant relationship (p = 0.000), this being a high positive Spearman's Rho correlation of 0.815 between the variable socioeconomic factors and student dropout.
