The objective of this research work is to determine the relationship between physical activity and the nutritional status of secondary school students in the District of Ate - Lima. The sampling was probabilistic of a stratified random type, with a sample of 285 students of both sexes from the 4th and 5th grade of secondary level who are between 15 and 18 years old belonging to three institutions in Huaycán. A cross-sectional correlational descriptive design was applied. Meanwhile, the IPAQ questionnaire was used to collect information, which consists of 7 questions and to measure the nutritional status variable, weight and height were used to calculate the BMI. The results obtained indicate that, in physical activity, 23.5% were sedentary, 51.9% moderate and 24.6% vigorous. According to nutritional status, 70.2% had a eutrophic nutritional status, 23.1% were overweight, and 6.7% were obese. It was concluded that there is no relationship between physical activity and the nutritional status of secondary school students in the District of Ate - Lima. (“Pearson’s r” -0.030)
