The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship of cooperative learning and specific competencies in students of Human Physiology subject at the Faculty of Medical Technology of the Federico Villarreal National University. The quantitative approach was used, the type of research was the one applied and the design was the translational correlational. The study sample consisted of 137 first year students of the five specialties of Laboratory and Pathological Anatomy, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Language Therapy, Radiology and Optometry of the Faculty of Medical Technology of the Federico Villarreal National University. The technique used was the survey and as instruments, a Likert type questionnaire of 30 items was used for the cooperative learning variable and a performance test for the specific competencies variable for the Human Physiology subject. The investigation concludes as follows: The relationship between cooperative learning and the competences of the Human Physiology subject has been determined in the first year students of the Faculty of Medical Technology of the Federico Villarreal National University, whose Spearman correlation is 0.975 and a p (sig.) = 0.000 0.05. Regarding the dimensions of positive interdependence; individual responsibility; simultaneous interaction; The social skills and self-assessment of the groups and their relationship with the competition variable can indicate that there is also a high and significant relationship.
