Abstract: The objective of this research work is to determine the relationship between the study variables. In the methodological aspect, it had a quantitative approach, relational type and non-experimental design. The sample was made up of 50 teachers, the instrument for collecting information was questionnaires. The results showed that self-esteem was rated low at 54% and institutional commitment determined a similar low rating at 58%. It concludes that self-esteem was positively and significantly related to institutional commitment in secondary school teachers of the Instituto Superior Tecnológico Amazonas – Yurimaguas, which was reflected in the application of the non-parametric Spearman's Rho statistical test, this is where the sig. Two-sided was 0.000; being in premise less than the margin of error 0.05. Furthermore, the degree of correlation was considerable positive 0.815; Therefore, it allowed the study hypothesis to be accepted.
