The objective of this research work was to determine the influence of the application of self-learning techniques on reading comprehension in students of the I cycle of the Industrial Administrators profession of SENATI – Independencia, 2019, in a population of 180 education students. superior. The methodology used was the hypothetical deductive method and the quasi-experimental research design. The sample included 36 students specializing in Industrial Administrators from SENATI. The data were collected with a questionnaire of questions on the dependent variable reading comprehension, called pre- and post-test, which were notes processed and analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics to test the corresponding hypotheses. The results are the statisticians who verify the difference of the pretest in the study groups called experimental and control where there were no differences, while in the posttest the experimental group obtained better averages than the control group. In hypothesis testing, it was shown that self-learning techniques positively influence the reading comprehension of students in research.
