The purpose of the study was to specify the relationship between emotional intelligence, learning strategies and reading comprehension. The research was basic, with a descriptive, correlational, non-experimental, cross-sectional design, and the sample was made up of 128 sixth-grade students from the Educational Institution No. 100, San Juan de Lurigancho. The type of sampling was non-probabilistic, for convenience. The approach developed was quantitative; The instruments applied were a form for the variable emotional intelligence and learning strategies, and an exam for the variable reading comprehension. The data were processed with the SPSS Statistical Program showing a direct and significant relationship with a moderate level of correlation of r = 0.404 between the variables: emotional intelligence and learning strategies; on the other hand, the variables emotional intelligence and reading comprehension show a direct, significant and moderate relationship of r = 0.468; Likewise, a direct and significant relationship is demonstrated with a low correlation level of r = 0.351 between the variables: learning strategies and reading comprehension..
