The general objective of this study was to establish the relationship between learning strategies and self-esteem in students of the Professional School of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the National University of San Cristóbal de Huamanga, Ayacucho, for which it was investigated the concepts of learning strategies, from a pedagogical perspective, and self-esteem, from a psychological approach. This research has a quantitative approach, the study was descriptive and explanatory. The general method of scientific research methodology was used. The design was descriptive-correlational. The bivariate correlation type of hypothesis was formulated; in which the covariance of the variables was sought. The following instruments were used in the work: the learning strategies questionnaire by Herrera & Gallardo (2006) and the self-esteem questionnaire by Cerna & Ugarriza (2020). The population is made up of 120 students and the sample of 30 students. To establish the reliability, the Cronbach's Alpha reliability test was used, for validity the Factor Analysis test (Kaiser Meyer Olkin) was used, for the validation of the instruments, the expert judgment of five education professionals was taken and In the hypothesis test, the parametric statistical test of Karl Pearson was considered.
