The purpose of this research work is to describe the influence of the participation of parents in the elaboration and implementation of the Institutional Educational Project of the educational institution No. 54232 of the Village Center of Iglesia pata - Apurímac region. The methodology is the quantitative approach, type of substantive or basic study, descriptive and transversal research design of a non-experimental nature and hypothetical- deductive method. The population was made up of 30 parents and the census sample considered 30 parents. For which two questionnaires were applied: one to collect data regarding the levels of parental participation in meetings, formulation of documents, development of activities, under the convening of the director (a) and APAFA directive; and another questionnaire to measure the level of participation in the development and implementation of the PEI. We found a Spearman Rho correlation coefficient = 0.624 ** which is interpreted at 99.99% ** the correlation is significant at the bilateral 0.01 level, being interpreted as a high positive relationship between the variables, with a p = 0 , 00 (p <0.01), and rejecting the null hypothesis. It is concluded that the level of parental involvement directly influences the development and implementation of the Institutional Educational Project.
