The objective of this research work was to determine what relationship existed between the level of knowledge and attitudes regarding the sexual issue in 75 adolescents from the I.E. 7234 Las Palmeras, Villa El Salvador based on a basic non-experimental and cross-sectional quantitative methodology and convenience sampling; For this, a 25-item questionnaire was used to calculate the level of knowledge about sexuality and a 30-item test on attitudes regarding sexuality in adolescents, both modified to be used specifically in the study. It was evidenced that in general there was a positive, weak (0.463) and significant (p<0.05) correlation between both variables, as well as in the correlations between the dimensions of knowledge about anatomy, sexual physiology, reproduction with a responsible attitude and prevention of the risks associated with the sexual issue, prevention of STIs with deciding and acting freely, knowledge about gender stereotypes and the relationship with a couple with the manifestation of stereotypes in interpersonal relationships; however, the correlation between the dimensions contraceptive methods for the prevention of pregnancy, whose correlation was very weak and not significant. These data obtained have allowed us to see the need to replicate the research in other samples of the same age group in order to obtain the data required in the planning of action programs more adapted to the adolescent population.
