The objective of this research work is to determine the relationship between physical activity and self-esteem of students in the third year of secondary school at the Felipe Huamán Poma de Ayala Educational Institution, in the district of Lurigancho during the year 2022. The study was developed with a quantitative approach with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational design. The instruments applied were the IPAQ in a short version of 7 items for the Physical Activity variable and the Rosenberg scale for the Self-esteem variable. The sample was made up of 170 third grade students at the secondary level of the Felipe Huamán Poma de Ayala Educational Institution, in the district of Lurigancho during the year 2022. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test was applied, which showed that the data had a non-parametric distribution and which led us to use Spearman's Rho correlation statistic to test the hypotheses. The results obtained in the general hypothesis are that the p value was 0.000 and with a coefficient of 0.097. Concluding that there is a direct correlation between the study variables, but at a low level.
