The objective of this research work was to investigate and seek to point out the close relationship that exists between musical education and sustained attention in 5-year-old students of the I.E.I 102 Piloto of the Lurigancho-Chosica district. This study proposes to do the research work using the quantitative approach, following a fundamental, substantive or basic line of research, using the mechanisms of the descriptive correlational method, finding the sample to be studied in a non-probabilistic way, taking into account the 111 children 5 years. First, we delve into all the elements to take into account in the study, as well as the different theories that demonstrate how important musical education is in children and the influence on the development of attention. As well as the methods that renowned researchers used to enhance this relationship. The questionnaire was used to collect data. The analysis of the data showed that 63.1% (70) show an expected achievement in music education and 67.6% (75) show an expected achievement in sustained attention. It was concluded that there is a significant relationship between musical education and sustained attention of 5-year-old boys and girls of the I.E.I. 102 Lurigancho-Chosica district pilot, 2018 (p < 0.05; Spearman's rho = 0.850 very high positive correlation).
