The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between reading comprehension and the level of attention in the students of the second year of high school of the I.E. No. 7035 “Leoncio Prado” of San Juan de Miraflores - Lima. This research is descriptive, correlational, non-experimental and cross-sectional. The population consisted of 90 of the sections "A", "B" and "C" of secondary school students of the Educational Institution No. 7035 "Leoncio Prado. The type of sampling used was not intentional probabilistic. Two instruments were used for data collection, in the case of care the attention test d2 was applied; for the reading comprehension the reading comprehension survey was applied. In the general test It was obtained as results in the general hypothesis: it has a Spearman Rho correlation coefficient = 0.713 ** which is interpreted at 99.99% ** the correlation is significant at the bilateral 0.01 level, being interpreted as a high positive relationship between the variables, with a p = 0.00 (p <0.01), rejecting the null hypothesis
