The objective of this research was to determine the effect of aluminum slag on the mechanical properties of concrete pavers for articulated pavements. An experimental investigation was carried out on four groups of concrete pavers with doses of aluminum slag as an additive, substituting percentages of 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% of fine aggregate in the mix. The sample consisted of ninety-six concrete pavers for articulated paving, subjected to compression, flexural, warping and absorption tests at time intervals of seven, fourteen and twenty-eight days. The results of the referred tests were obtained in a specialized laboratory with specific techniques and instruments, subjected to a statistical analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the Kruskal-Wallis test using SPSS 27 statistical software, in order to contrast the hypothesis proposed. The analysis of the results revealed that the aluminum slag (EA) used to replace 5% of fine aggregate in the mix achieved an average compressive strength of 461.45 kg/cm2 and an average flexural strength of 78.11 kg/cm2, higher than the conventional average strength and average flexural strength f'c = 320 kg/cm2 (NTP, 399.611) and f'c = 45.9 kg/cm2 (NTC2017), respectively. In addition, the average absorption in the sample with the 5% EA percentage is 5.20%; lower than the conventional absorption value and the maximum warping in the pavers with 5% EA is 0.22%. Therefore, the use of aluminum slag as an additive added to the mix, replacing 5% of fine aggregate, significantly improves the mechanical properties: compressive strength, flexural strength, absorption and warpage, of the concrete pavers manufactured to be used in articulated pavements
