The general objective of this study was to establish if there was a relationship between Cervical Myofascial Pain Syndrome (cervical SDM) and forced postures in workers who performed administrative functions in a hospital in Metropolitan Lima during the year 2021. A study was carried out with observational, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional design. The target population consisted of workers with administrative tasks in the aforementioned hospital during the year 2021. Census sampling was carried out and interviews, physical examinations and direct observations were carried out from a photographic analysis to evaluate both cervical SDM and forced postures of Workers. The specific procedures for the assessment of forced postures were based on ISO 11226:2000. The evaluation of cervical SDM was carried out through physical examination carried out by a doctor specialized in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Data analysis was carried out using Stata statistical software version 15. The Chi square test was performed for the association of variables, with a significance level of 0.05. It was found that, by associating myofascial syndrome with trunk postures with a Chi square statistic value of 5.51, a p value of 0.019 was obtained. When associating myofascial syndrome with head postures, a Chi square statistic value of 19.51 was found, and a p value of 0.000 was obtained. It is concluded that there is a relationship between cervical myofascial pain syndrome and forced postures for trunk postures and head postures.
