Violence against women is an issue of great importance in society. However, it is worrying that indigenous women have received less attention from authorities and researchers compared to non-Indigenous women, which has resulted in alarming levels of violence in this population. Such is the case that this documentary study addresses this issue with the aim of analyzing the factors associated with violence against Latin American indigenous women between 2013-2023, through research and reports from organizations studying the behavior of this population. The findings of this analysis revealed that violence against indigenous women is influenced by a series of interconnected factors, which were grouped into four main categories: sociocultural and gender factors, contextual and sociodemographic factors, factors related to the consumption of psychoactive substances, and structural factors. These four categories encapsulate all the identified factors. Despite these findings, to date, no specific project has been carried out to combat violence against indigenous women in a particular community, taking into account their particularities. This inaction prolongs the victimization of this group, underscoring the urgency of adopting concrete measures to eradicate this problem and safeguard their rights.
