Background: Musculoskeletal symptoms (MS) represent discomfort in the musculoskeletal system manifesting in pain or discomfort. Its appearance is linked to various habits, but mainly to the decrease in the practice of physical activity (PA). Among the populations that are most exposed to presenting these symptoms due to physical inactivity and work modality are regular basic education teachers. Objective: Determine the relationship between musculoskeletal symptoms and the level of physical activity in regular basic education teachers of public institutions in Metropolitan Lima 2023. Material and methods: Observational cross-sectional analytical study. The standardized Nordic Kuorinka Questionnaire and the International Physical Activity Questionnaire IPAQ-SF were applied to 180 regular basic education teachers. Results: In the bivariate analysis between Musculoskeletal Symptoms and Physical Activity, no relationship was found (p<0.057). The presence of MS was 73.9% and moderate level PA prevailed with 50.0%. A low level of PA is evident in those with MS (84.7%), in addition to the prevalence ratio of SM in those who perform moderate PA is 17% less compared to those who perform low PA, but in an adjusted model it increases AF ratio strength moderated by 20%. Conclusions: There is no relationship between Musculoskeletal Symptoms and Physical Activity in Regular Basic Education teachers in Public Institutions of Metropolitan Lima 2023.
